Bunge therefore takes up, among other things, appropriate technical and organizational measures to reduce the energy consumption in the long term and to increase energy efficiency in a constant improvement process.

Our environment and energy management system has been certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 since 2013. The sustainability of our raw materials, traceability and greenhouse gas savings are certified according to ISCC. Bunge Deutschland GmbH is classified as a hazardous incident plant with basic obligations and participates in the "Hazardous Incidents Initiative" of the city of Mannheim and the city of Ludwigshafen. For further information, please refer to the following incident brochure.

The last site inspection in line with the "IED"-monitoring took place on July 22nd, 2015 for the extraction and the refinery and on September 16th, 2014 for the biofuel operation.
