Bunge Mannheim employees play Santa

For several years now during the Christmas season, the employees of the oil mill in Mannheim have been involved in fund raising campaigns. Personnel Manager Regine Cavallo, however, had a new idea this year: "We wanted to present the donors with a more concrete picture, so we contacted the Johann-Hebel-Children’s-Home in Mannheim with the idea: children paint and write their wish list and our employees will fulfill their wishes.”

The idea was a great success - all 50 wish lists, which were attached to the Christmas tree in the canteen, found a donor and were fulfilled. Christoph Haase, Managing Director: "The campaign was very well received by the staff - the colleagues got the presents and wrapped them up with the matching wish list attached to it and passed them on to the HR Department." On 22nd of December 2017 Christoph Haase and Doris Moser (HR) drove to the Johann-Heber-Children’s-Home with a vehicle full of gifts and handed them to the management of the institution.

At the handover, not only the children got presents. The staff of the Bunge Germany GmbH received a picture designed by the children, which now decorates the office in the HR department and is a great memory of the Christmas campaign. "Regine Cavallo’s idea, the collaborative implementation and the willingness of our employees have been great and we are already thinking about which social institution we can support with a joint Christmas campaign in 2018."
